Dhaka: After being defeated in the T-20 series, Team Mashrafi couldn’t stand before Kagiso Rabada’s record-breaking feat in the opening ODI that helped visiting South Africa thrash the host by eight wickets. The cornered Tigers, who were found wanting in all departments, is eager to pull up their socks and show more application as they eagerly look to stay alive in the series.

Bangladesh team’s one of the key players all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan gave the hint in his latest Facebook status.

‘With the series at stake we are ready to go all in!’ said Shakib.

Bangladesh opener Soumya Sarkar posted on Facebook, ‘Our plan is not working for the last few matches, especially the batsman can't put runs. We are trying, hope we will fight back soon…’

Another opener Anamul Haque said, ‘All are set for tomorrow's game. Keep us in your prayers!’

Shakib Al Hasan and Mashrafe Mortaza require two wickets each to extend their wickets tally in ODIs to 200.

South Africa have lost only once against Bangladesh in 15 ODIs. The only loss for the Proteas against Bangladesh came at the Providence Stadium in Guyana during the 2007 World Cup.

Bangladesh went in with eight batsmen for the first game and are likely to do so for the second match too. If they do think of getting in an extra bowler, one of Arafat Sunny or Rubel Hossain might get a look in.

Probable BD XI: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Mahmudullah, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza, Jubair Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman

On the other hand, South Africa are unlikely to change a winning combination, which means that Aaron Phangiso, Wayne Parnell, Eddie Leie, Morne Morkel and Ryan McLaren are likely to warm the bench again.

Probable SA XI: Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, Rilee Rossouw, Jean-Paul Duminy, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, Chris Morris, Kyle Abbott, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir
