Only 35 bowlers have the record of bagging 200 wickets in the 44-year One Day International cricket history. Left arm spinner Abdur Razzak is the only Bangladeshi in the list.

But the number may increase to three after the 3rd and last ODI against South Africa on Wednesday.

Tiger skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has 199 wickets beside his name while Vice-captain Shakib al Hasan has taken 198 wickets.

Both of them started the 2nd match with 198 wickets each. Shakib remained wicket less but bowled tightly conceding only 30 runs in 10 overs. Mashrafe took one wickets giving 17 runs in 5 overs.

To reach the mark, Tiger skipper needs just one wicket while the top all-rounder in all three formats, Shakib needs two more wickets.

Sanath Jayasuriya (323 wkts) of Sri Lanka, Daniel Vettori (305 wkts) of New Zealand and Abdur Razzak (207 wkts) of Bangladesh are the only 3 left arm spinners in the 200-wicket takers’ list.

Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is the highest wicket taker in ODI cricket with 534 wickets.

The only other bowler in the 500-wicket category is Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram who bagged 502 wickets.
