South Africa were all out for 248 in their first innings on the  opening day of the first cricket Test against Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Tuesday.

Temba Bavuma top-scored with 54 and his was the last wicket to fall. He was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman, who finished with 4-37.

Bangladesh batted for a short time scoring 7-0 after bowling out South Africa. Openers Tamim Iqbal (one not out) and Imrul Kayes (five not out) remained unbeaten.

The duo is expected to make a fresh start tomorrow on the 2nd day of the match.
