Mahmudullah disappointed over washout
Dhaka: Tiger batsman Mahmudullah on Sunday expressed disappointment over the washout of the fourth day’s play of the Dhaka Test against South Africa. Not a single delivery was played after the first day due to incessant rain.
‘It is disappointing for any team when you start playing for five days but the game is called off for three days. Playing the game would have been better. But it is also true that none has authority over weather. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.’ said Mahmudullah in a press conference after the fourth day’s play was called off.
Mahmudullah also said Tigers would enjoy playing the game rather than getting points from rain-helped draws.
On the issue of not getting any century by any Tiger batsman in the last four Tests including the current one Mahmudullah said ‘We have no centuries in consecutive four Tests. It is really disappointing to get out after getting set at the wicket. We have to face tough challenges if we cannot come out of this.’
