Dhaka: Bangladesh physically challenged cricket team got off to an auspicious start in the ICRC International Twenty20 Cricket Tournament beating visiting England by 14 runs held on Friday at the BKSP ground no 3 in Savar.

Bangladesh posted a moderate total of 117 for 8 from their allotted 20 overs, after the host won the important toss.

Apurbo Kumar top scored with 22 runs followed by skipper Alam Khan 19 and Nuruzzaman 14.

Fin was the most successful England bowler taking two wickets.

In reply, England found the case stiff and managed to score 103 for 7 from their stipulated 20 overs in the face of fierce bowling attacks by Bangladesh.

The tie was set for Wednesday last after the tournament's inauguration at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur. But, as rain washed out the match, then the match rescheduled today (Friday).
