Bangladesh suffer 3-wckt defeat to Afghanistan
Dhaka: Bangladesh suffered their second consecutive defeats as they lost to Afghanistan by three wickets in the ICRC International Cricket tournament held on Monday at the BKSP ground in Savar.
Bating first, Bangladesh posted a moderate total of 119 for 6 from their allotted 20 overs with the help of Shariar Shamim's unbeaten knock of 56 runs.
Abdullah and Mohammad Ullah took two wickets each for Afghanistan.
Chasing a winning target of 120 runs set by Bangladesh, Afghanistan reached home for the loss of seven wickets in 19.1 overs.
Drupam captured two wickets for the host side.
Earlier, Bangladesh beat England by 14 runs in their opening match but lost to Pakistan by 20 runs in D/L method in their second match.
