Colvina Jolin suffered a near-fatal brain haemorrhage that left her in a three month coma when she was 23 weeks pregnant with her first child.
Despite doctors giving her just a 10% chance of survival, Colvina pulled through and remarkably gave birth to a baby girl whilst unconscious, reported a BBC radio programme.
‘Speaking to 5 live’s Matt Graveling, Colvina said that although she ‘kind of wishes’ that she had been able to go through a normal child birth, she is ‘so happy’ that her and her daughter Maya are healthy.’
Colvina’s husband Matt said that Maya is ‘slowly catching up with her actual age group’ as she was 11 weeks early, but that she is making ‘fantastic’ progress.’
