The United States security officials have refused to allow a British family of 11 to board a flight from Gatwick to Los Angeles to visit Disneyland, a British MP has claimed.

‘The family were told that their right to travel was being revoked as they queued in the departure lounge last Tuesday, Stella Creasy, the Labour MP for Walthamstow, said’, reported itv.com.

‘Her constituents — who had apparently saved for months for their dream holiday — say they were offered no further explanation for the refusal.’

‘The £9,000 the family spent on flights will not be refunded, according to the MP.’

‘Creasy has written to Prime Minister David Cameron asking him to step in after she ‘hit a brick wall’ in her bid to get answers from the American authorities.

 ‘Instead of heading to Universal Studios for two weeks of fun, they were told to go back home and unpack,’ Creasy wrote in The Guardian.

She said the case raises ‘troubling questions well beyond how to diffuse the heartache of small children unable to meet Elsa from Frozen’.

‘One member of the family told the newspaper that he believed it was obvious why they were not allowed to travel.

‘It’s because of the attacks on America — they think every Muslim poses a threat.’

‘The incident comes weeks after Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner, called for Muslims to be banned from the US in the wake of the San Bernadino terror attack, which left 14 people dead.’
