Rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh had a collection of condoms and contraceptives in his room, disclosed M Narayanan, the chief investigating officer in the rape case against the Dera Sacha Sauda leader.

‘He was a maniac, a real beast,’ Narayanan told News 18.

Narayan said that around 200 women have left the Dera campus after facing sexual harassment between the period of 1999 to 2002.  

However, CBI could only trace 10 victims. Finally, the CBI persuaded two survivors to file a charge sheet in a court in Ambala.

Earlier, this month, Ram Rahim was convicted by a special CBI court in the two rape cases filed against him and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Thirty-six people were killed and 250 were wounded in the violent protests that followed his sentencing on Friday.
