The virtual world is a strange place, and how rapidly anything can go viral is often hard to explain. Especially, when it comes to famous personalities. One such instance involves Malala Yousafzai‏. A photo that is being touted as showing the young Pakistani leader wearing a pair of jeans and jacket is going viral and led to a huge debate online, reports The Indian Express.

The photo – which is yet to be verified if it really is of Yousafzai or not – initially surfaced recently on Siasat.pk, a Pakistani Facebook group, has got everyone talking. Captioned with, ‘Malala Yousafzai in UK’, the photo has gone viral with over 2,300 shares in less than 24 hours, at the time of writing. The photo has now reached Twitter and Instagram too, says The Indian Express.

While many users were unsure if the image was real, there were some who slammed her for wearing a pair of jeans. A few group members even joked and compared her to adult film star Mia Khalifa, while others asked: ‘how long before she ditches her scarf.’

While we are also not sure if it’s really her in the picture, there seem to be nothing distasteful or wrong with the photo. Many users came forward to support the world’s youngest Nobel laureate, Yousafzai‏, who has just started college. The 20-year-old is attending the prestigious Oxford University in England.
