Little Twinkle Pre-school, a joint venture of Bangladesh and Malaysia, started its academic activities at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on 6 January.

Bangladesh High Commission first secretary SK Shahin inaugurated the school at Genting Klang road of Danau Kota in Kuala Lumpur.

SK Shahin, after visiting and inaugurating the school, said the school has adopted a new technique of teaching and the students are learning with fun, which is really praiseworthy.

Bangladesh High Commission official while addressing the inauguration programme as the chief guest also said the school authorities must be careful so that the children would not take education as burden.

Little Twinkle School chief executive Sisilia Sharmini, who was the special guest of the programme, said: ‘Our goal is to provide standard education to the middle-class and lower middle-class students in reasonable price.  We believe if the root is strong, then there will be no hindrance of the growth of tree.’

Hafizur Rahman, one of the Bangladeshi directors of the school, said: ‘A good number of Bangladeshi families live here in Malaysia. The Bangladeshi parents also prefer Malaysia as first choice for their children’s education. We mostly found this pre-school for the children of middle-class and lower middle-class families.’

The school will be run in two steps; the students will attend classes till 12:00noon and after that, they will be looked after by the school authorities till 5:00pm.

Hafizur Rahman, also the director of Universe Brilliant Resources, said Bangladeshi teachers have been appointed for teaching Bangali language and culture to the children as the school is mainly English medium.

He also assured Bangladeshis and other parents, who have children of two to six years, to assist them in getting visa.
