Indian political leader’s ‘selfie with potholes’ goes viral
An Indian political leader began a viral trend on Twitter when she asked people to take pictures with potholes on the street to demand accountability from civic bodies as well as the Maharashtra government.
Supriya Sule, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, on October 31, called upon Twitterati to ‘Take a #Selfiewithpotholes in your area & upload it on Twitter & Facebook’, reports timesnownews.com.
She then posted a couple of pictures of herself with potholes.

Soon enough, the hashtag began to trend as people across Maharashtra posted pictures and videos of bad roads.
In response, Maharashtra’s PWD minister Chandrakant Patil thanked the leader for the initiative she had taken up and stated that the ministry is working to fix potholes as soon as possible.
