Patidar quota leader Hardik Patel got embroiled in a controversy on Monday as two sex video clips allegedly showing him with a woman went viral on social media.
About 10 days ago, Hardik had predicted that a doctored sex CD would be out soon to defame him. ‘Soon they will release my sex CD. Enjoy, keep watching,’ Hardik had said, reports the Times of India.
The video clips, showing recording of the night of May 16, 2017, sent social media into a tizzy as it was forwarded with barbs like ‘Patidar community and Gujarat’s traitor Hardik Patel’s kaam leela’ and ‘This is the real face of pervert Hardik Patel who is misguiding Patel community.’ Authenticity of the two video clips could not be verified.
Hardik, who was participating in the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) core-committee meeting to discuss the Congress formula on constitutionally tenable quota for Patidars in Gandhinagar, dismissed the video clips as part of ‘dirty politics of BJP‘.
‘The video is fake and morphed. It is part of dirty politics by the BJP that has stooped down to the lowest level to attack me,’ he said. ‘I am a man, I am not impotent.
The BJP has attacked my personal life. There are many people in the BJP. I will also come out with their CDs.

Hardik has become big. Crores of rupees are being spent to defame me. Dirty politics has begun. I am not bothered but Gujarat’s women are being insulted,’ Hardik tweeted.
Mansukh Mandaviya, Union MoS for road, transport and highways, said, ‘The BJP has nothing to do with Hardik Patel’s video.

Instead of blaming the BJP, Hardik Patel should have filed a complaint.’ Hardik insisted that the video clips would have no bearing on Patidar agitation.
‘There is no connection between the agitation and the video clips. They have targeted my personal life, but it will backfire.
After the video clips went viral, I went to Kadi where thousands of youth stood by me. As long as people are with me, no attack on my personal life will adversely impact the quota agitation,’ said Hardik.

Ashwin Patel, former PASS convener who had begun Patidar agitation in 2012 before Hardik steered the stir to the next level in 2015, alleged that Hardik exploited girls. ‘I separated from Hardik as he exploited several girls, including a Patidar one. Hardik’s aides from Surat, Morbi and Rajkot also exploited girls,’ alleged Ashwin.

‘Hardik came to me in Delhi in 2015 with a girl claiming her to be his wife. He went to Manali and I have all the records and audio clips. If Hardik will not clarify now, I will produce the records in next four days,’ Ashwin, who lives in Delhi now, said.

The sex video clips are not related to the Patidar community, Lalji Patel, convener of Sardar Patel Group, said. ‘Those involved should see their name is cleared if allegations are false,’ he added.

Congress spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohilsupported Hardik. ‘The BJP has stooped to a low level of politics and such leaks infringe upon a citizen’s fundamental right to privacy,’ said Gohil.
