A man was shot in the head in a car as his friends played with a loaded gun during a Facebook Live video.

Devyn Holmes was shot on Sunday in a horrific video that has been watched thousands of times online.

The dad-of-two is now on life support after being shot at around 2.30am in the car park of a petrol station in Houston, Texas, reports the Metro.

Cassandra Damper, the woman filmed messing around with the gun next to Holmes, was arrested and later charged.

Police said Holmes, 26, was in the car with Damper, 25, and another man, when the woman began pointing the gun at the camera. ‘You’re making me nervous,’ Holmes says in the video now circulating online.

‘She ain’t got no clip bud,’ the other man tells him. Holmes then asks: ‘Where you from again?’ as Damper swings the gun towards him. She is heard saying: ‘Say something, bitch’ before the gun goes off.

Footage seen on social media does not show the moment Holmes was gunned down but does show him slumped over and covered in blood.

Holmes was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police said.

Officers arrested Damper after she allegedly attempted to wipe off the gun residue on her hands.

She was booked on charges for tampering or fabricating evidence. Damper claimed that she was unaware the gun was loaded in an interview with authorities.

The other man involved in the shooting video was not charged. Authorities said a grand jury will decided if any additional charges should be filed.
