Leopard enters in Bengaluru school, 5 hurt
A leopard entered a school compound in Bengaluru on Sunday and left at least five people injured before it was trapped by authorities, reports several Indian news agencies.
Zee News report says, the officials of Forest Department and police tranquilised and trapped the big cat after 14-hour long operation.
The leopard entered the Vibgyor School at Kundalahalli near Whitefield in Bengaluru at about Indian time 4:00am, says Indian Express news.
A CCTV grab of the leopard captured inside the school shows the big cat jumping over a boundary wall and entering the school compound.
The eight-year-old leopard was also caught-on-camera attacking few people present inside the school premises.
Of the five persons injured in the rescue operation, a wildlife activist Sanjay Gubbi, was hurt grievously.
The big cat has been confined inside a room. Efforts are on to capture the leopard, reports Zee News.
In 2012, a leopard sighting was reported in the Whitefield area.
