West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday expressed condolences for the victims of a massive fire that killed at least 78 people in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.

Another 56 people were injured in the Wednesday night fire that engulfed several multi-storey buildings in Chawkbazar area of Old Dhaka.

Saddened to hear about the tragic loss of lives because of the devastating fire in Bangladesh. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. We wish the injured a speedy recovery
