Dhaka: Bangladesh Embassy in Tashkent has hosted a reception marking the National and Independence Day and 20th anniversary of establishment of the Bangladesh Embassy there.

Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade Minister of Uzbekistan Ganiev Elyor Madjidovich attended the reception held at a city hotel in Tashkent on Monday as the chief guest, according to a message received here on Tuesday.

Ambassadors, heads of international organisations and UN agencies were present.

The third issue of Mustaqillik in Russian Language on 'Tourism in Bangladesh' has been published and distributed to all attendees in specially made jute bags.

A ceremonial cake was cut and special toast was made in the names of the Presidents of Bangladesh and Uzbekistan as well as for the prosperity of the people of the two countries.
