Bangladeshi woman stabbed to death in New York
A Bangladeshi elderly woman was stabbed while walking in the Jamaica Hills section of Queens in New York, USA, on Wednesday night.
‘The aunt of a Muslim NYPD officer, Nazma Khanam, 60, was walking in front of 160-12 Normal Road at about 9:00pm when she was stabbed after what sources say appeared to be an attempted robbery’, reports CBS New York.
‘Sources say it is unknown at this time if anything was taken from the woman.’
‘Khanam was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.’
‘No arrests have been made and police are conducting an investigation.’
The NYPD Muslim Officers Society tweeted about the incident.
‘Very sad to announce death of the aunt of our member PO Kabir #TD2 @NYPDTransit who was stabbed in @NYPD107Pct tonight lets catch the perp.’
