Dhaka: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday just ahead of her birthday.

Modi wrote in a birthday message, ‘from development to security, Bangladesh has made rapid strides in its progress towards peace and prosperity for all citizens, under you able stewardship.’

He highly appreciated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership saying her resolute leadership has provided the people of Bangladesh a beacon of hope during a difficult period.

The Indian Prime Minister said he is looking forward to welcoming his Bangladesh counterpart in Goa next month and taking forward their shared agenda of regional cooperation.
