Pakistan claims capturing Indian soldier, killing 8 others at LoC
Dhaka: The Pakistan Army on Thursday claimed that it had captured an Indian army soldier and killed eight others in retaliation to Indian army’s sudden attack on Pakistan territory that killed at least two Pakistani soldiers.
The Indian soldier, Chandu Babulal Chohan, was reportedly held at the first line of defence at the Line of Control (LoC) at Tatta Pani in Pakistan-held Kashmir, reports the Dawn.
India’s military carried out ‘surgical strikes’ along the de facto border with Pakistan in Kashmir on Thursday morning, India has claimed.
Pakistan, however, accused India of killing two of its soldiers in ‘unprovoked firing’ along the Line of Control that divides the disputed territory and said its troops had responded.

The captured soldier, Chandu Babulal Chohan, has been shifted to an undisclosed location, the Dawn reports.
The soldier’s father’s name is Bashan Chohan, he is 22-years-old, a Hindu and he is from Maharashtra of India.
The bodies of the Indian soldiers have not been recovered from by the Indian army from the site of the skirmishes at the LoC.
