Ten-year-old boy writes two books!
Ten-year-old British-Bangladeshi boy Saqib Choudhury, a Thoresby Primary School student, has written two juvenile books, which he hopes to be published, and dreams of becoming a writer one day following the footsteps of his idol horror author Darren Shan.
He has had his inspiration to put pen to paper from his love of reading and writing at this very early age. ‘I love reading books and the authors are really good, and I just wanted to write to follow them and be amongst them,’ said the youngster.
‘The first one was possible because my brother inspired me to do it, and then when that was finished, I thought I’d write another one. A couple of people have read them and they said it left them wanting to read more.’
Each book is around 150 to 200 pages long, and took just a couple of months to write. The first one is The Kidnappers Liar, which is about a group of children who go looking for their friends after they go missing. The second book is Tormak: The Unmercifully Diabolicals Guide To Being Evil, which is a guide to bad behaviour, reports hulldailymail.co.uk.

Saqib's father Iqbal Choudhury and mother Mumina Choudhury were very proud of what their son had achieved.
‘I’m proud of all my children,’ Mumina said. ‘I think he will be successful whatever he does. He has always been interested in reading and writing and when he started he just wrote and wrote and wrote. There were only a couple of times where he got writers’ block and he said he didn’t know what to write and we encouraged him to carry on and finish it,’ she added.
Saqib said that he did not have any plans in the pipeline to write any more books yet. He said, ‘I am in Year 6 [Class-VI], so I am getting ready to go to high school, which I know might be busier. I haven’t any more ideas yet but I might do some more later,’ he added.
