Over 30 passengers travelling in a luxury bus of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) in India had a narrow escape after the vehicle caught fire near Alair in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.

Telangana Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy has ordered an inquiry in the incident, an official release said in Telangana, reports Press Trust of India.

The bus of Warangal-1 depot was on its way to Hyderabad when it was gutted in the fire near Alair, it said.

The minister directed senior RTC officials to submit a detailed report of the incident and asked them to ensure that such incidents do not re-occur, the release added.
