Love Island star Dom Lever's ex-girlfriend has blasted his new love - saying the pair is so fame hungry they will have a child to stay in the headlines.

Reality star Sam Dewhurst, 24, who was with Dom for four and half years before their split back in 2017, also blasted the pair's plans to wed so quickly.

Blonde Sam, who’s set to appear on new ITV2 series Survival Of The Fittest this evening, added Dom didn't even tell her he was going on Love Island - and she only found out when she saw the advert sat on the sofa with her mum, reports the Mirror.

‘It took him and Jess six weeks to get engaged, then a quick wedding is going to happen isn’t it? She’ll be popping out a kid next in about five weeks so good luck to them,’ she told The Sun .

‘Although we’d broken up we were supposedly on good terms and were still speaking a few months before he went into The Villa.

‘At this point he would have applied for Love Island so the fact he was still speaking to me and asking to meet me I just couldn’t get my head around it.’

It comes after viewers watched Jess and Dom ‘wed’ on national TV - she stripped to a bridal white bikini while fiancé Dom's abs rippled as he said his vows in white swimming trunks.

They walked down a pink carpet - with Jess in a full veil despite her state of undress - and celebrity reporter Richard Arnold officiated the marriage.

There was even an awkward moment when they were asked if there’s any reason why they should not be married.

‘Do you want a lie detector?’ Jeremy Kyle shouted over.

‘No lie detector today,’ Dom confirmed.

Saying his own Love Island -style vows, he said: ‘I promise to share our life story on social media from this day forward because you’re my type on paper.’

And there was even cringe-worthy reference to Muggy Mike - who tried to graft on Jess when they left the villa before Dom last summer.

Jess vowed: ‘I will not pie you off even if Muggy Mike comes along.’

Then Celebs Go Dating 's Nadia Essex rushed in to catch the bouquet.

But although the ceremony was beautiful, it wasn't official.

The couple will get married in Mykonos later this year, Jess confirmed.

Which is just as well, because some viewers weren't impressed.

‘When you thought Jess and Dom from Love Island couldn’t get more desperate...they get married on GMB,’ one viewer commented.
