Video of a monkey smoking hookah has taken Twitter by storm. The 23-second clip has managed to split the micro-blogging platform into two halves due to polarised reactions over it.
While some are calling the video as well as monkey ‘cool’ and ‘funny’, there are others who think it symbolizes ‘animal cruelty’.
The video captioned ‘Who let the monkey take the dab?’ has garnered more than 5 million views so far along with 140k retweets and 263k likes, reports the Times of India.
It shows a monkey ostensibly voluntarily taking seemingly 2 large puffs of hookah, followed by him munching on some snacks and then refusing a cigar offered to it in the end.

All this while, we can hear voices of people around it (and filming the video) laughing and giggling.
