A solo painting exhibition titled My Beloved Motherland by artist Md. Abu Salim has begun at Galerie Zoom of the Alliance Française de Dhaka.

Prof.  Dr Mizanur Rahman of Department of  Law of University of Dhaka attended the inaugural ceremony.

'From the unparalleled colours of six seasons to the innumerable waterbodies beaming with azure blue, Bangladesh — our  beloved homeland reigns the artist’s  paintings. They also bear witness to the hardships of our people, the calamities they endure and the tribulations they vanquish to make their ends meet. Farmers, fishermen, boatmen and people from various walks of life become ineluctable characters in Abu Salim’s  mind and he has tried to capture perhaps a moment from their daily lives.'

‘My Beloved Motherland’ is artist Md. Abu Salim’s twelfth solo exhibition. The exhibition will feature Salim’s twenty recent works.

The exhibition will be open to all until October 31, 2017 at Galerie Zoom.

Visiting Hours:  Monday to Thursday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, Friday and Saturday (9:00am to12:00pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm). Closed: Sunday.
