8 publishing houses win Gunijan Smriti Puraskar
Dhaka: Bangla Academy announced Gunijan Smriti Puraskar, 2017 on Saturday where eight publishing houses were awarded under four categories.
The award will be handed over to the publishing houses on the closing day of the month long ‘Ekushey Boi Mela’ on February 28 at the Bangla Academy premises.
‘Journeyman Books’ got 'Chittaranjan Saha Smriti Puraskar' for the publication of a good number of quality books in the book fair.
Three publishing houses won ‘Munier Chowdhury Smriti Puraskar’---Prothoma publications for the book titled ’Desh Sera Jagat Sera’ written by Rafiqun Nabi, Mowala Brohers for the book titled ‘Sangbadikota Amar Cameray’ written by Pavel Rahman and Puthiniloy for the book titled ‘Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy’.
‘Rokonuzzaman Khan Dadabhai Smriti Puraskar’ was awarded to Chandrabati Academy for publishing excellent books for kids.
Batighar Prokashon, Songbedh and Panjeree Publications Ltd got the 'Qaiyyum Chowdhury Smriti Puraskar’ for the best interior design of their stalls.
