Poetry competition 'Kobitar Khoje' kicks off Monday

Dhaka: A poetry competition of the young poets titled 'Kobitar Khoje' will start on Monday.
The organisers Ra'dia Incorporation and Kotha Kobita Abritti have recently arranged an inaugural ceremony for the poetry recitation event while noted poet Mohammad Nurul Huda was present as the chief guest.
Noted recitation artists Nazmul Ahsan, Masum Ajijul Bashar and Tamanna Sarwar Nipa will recite the poems of the young writers.
Event co-ordinator and CEO of Ra'dia Incorporation Kazi Sajedur Rahman said the initiative has been taken to invoke to young poets with love, rebellion, passion and urge for youth, and excitement to make the youth of the country more creative and to develop a cultural arena.
The poetries written by the young poets will be published in the special recitation album of selected poems, publication of books of poetry and souvenir, he added.
Every young poet has been invited to send their published or unpublished two poems to radiadhk@gmail.com in PDF or JPEG format with a brief introduction of the authors from July 10 to September 9 on five themes -- native, revolt, love, creation and youth rally.
Later, a jury panel will select the best 20 poems.
