Gazipur: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has apologised to people for their sufferings during returning home through highways on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Obaidul apologised after experiencing the traffic jam on the Chandra intersection at Gazipur on Dhaka-Tangail highway on Thursday night.

Obaidul Said, ‘I felt hurt watching the sufferings of people. I apologize to them.’

The minister also added, ‘I urged owners not to run unfit vehicles but they did not pay heed. What I think is that four lanes, flyovers won’t reduce the problem, if we don’t change our mind set up.’
