There is no such concept like ‘ethnic minority’ in Bangladesh, says health minister Mohammad Nasim. Nasim said this on Wednesday while visiting a Hindu temple at capital’s Mirpur on the occasion of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindus in the country.  Nasim thinks these terms are offensive and often used to facilitate persecutions on people.
He said the government would not allow any attempt to destabilise the religious harmony people are enjoying in the country, according to a health and family planning ministry press release.
