Two killed as bus hits utility vehicle

Rajshahi: Two people were killed as a bus crashed into a utility vehicle used for public transport on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj Highway in Faridpur of Godagari, Rajshahi on Thursday morning.

The deceased were Anarul Islam, believed to be 35, son of Moslem Ali, and Delwar Hossain, believed to be 40, son of Abdur Rahman, a resident of Char Anuponog of the upazila.

Godagari Police officer in-charge SM Abu Farhad said the accident took place in the area at about 6:00am, when the Chapainawabganj-bound ‘Keya Paribahan’ bus hit the utility vehicle in the area at about 6:00am, leaving one passenger of the human hauler dead and another critically injured.

The injured died on the way to hospital, added the OC.
