Faridpur clash leaves one dead

Faridpur: A man was killed and six people were injured in a clash over catching fish at Shibanandopur village of Boalmari upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased is Ahadul Islam Ahad, 30, a resident of the village.
A K M Aminul Islam, Boalmari Police officer-in-charge said, some followers of Ratan, a locally influential person, attacked Ahad and his companions when they went to Foliya canal for catching fish at about 8:00am, triggering a clash that left seven people injured from both sides.
Among the injured, Ratan was rushed to Boalmari health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
The other injured were admitted to the health complex and Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
