Jhinaidah:Two people were shot dead at Defalbari village of Sadar upazila in Jhinaidah in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased are Golam Azam Palash and Delwar Hossain Dulal, residents of Charkhejura village of the upazila.

Alam, Dulal’s brother, said law enforcer members took the deceased away from their residence on 19 February.

Sadar police officer-in-charge Shahbuddin Azad said local people inform police as they found the bodies at a field near the village. Later police recovered the bullet-hit bodies at 10:00am and sent them to Jhinaidah Sadar Hospital.

The OC said the murderers were not identified immediately. They are working on the murder. The deceased were involved in anti-social activities, added Shahbuddin Azad.
