Dhaka: Dhaka University’s former English students will get together on 29 January (Friday) for their annual reunion at the usual venue Teacher-Student Centre of the university, the English Department Alumni Society (EDAS) has announced.

An EDAS statement says that the annual bash, the last Friday of every January, would be followed this year by a daylong river cruise just two weeks later, on 12 February, another Friday.  

Friends and families of former students are allowed to join the cruise on the Buriganga. Details will be made available on the EDAS website.

The alumni can register themselves and pay their fees for both events online at (edas.com.bd), the statement says.

General members have to pay Tk 500 each, Tk 800 for a couple, and lifetime members Tk 400 for the get-together.  

The river cruise will cost each participant Tk 1000.
