Khulna: A man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself after killing his physically challenged daughter at Ali Ahsan Road in Khulna early on Wednesday.

The deceased are Mostafa Kamal, a resident of Ali Ahsan Road area in Khulna, and his 18-year-old daughter Sumaiya Aurin.

The Sadar police said Moatafa Kamal allegedly killed her daughter by silting her throat first and later he took his own life by hanging himself early in the morning.

Police went to the spot and recovered the bodies at about 10:00am and sent those to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police are trying to find out the motive behind this incident, said the police.
