Pabna: Police rescued a minor girl from Sujanagar upazila on Saturday, two days after he had been allegedly abducted from Narayanganj.

Sujanagar Police Station officer-in-charge Shakil Ahmed said police also arrested alleged abductor Mintu Hossain,24, a resident of Satbaria village in the upazila.

The OC said Mintu used to live in the house of Maminur Rahman of Fatullah upazila in Narayanganj, father of the rescued girl, Mim,3.

On Thursday afternoon, an altercation ensued between Mintu and Maminur over lending some money.

Later, Mintu abducted Mim from their Fatullah residence and took her to Sujanagar upazila in Pabna.

Maminur filed a case with Fatullah Police Station.

Later, the police station informed Sujanagar police station about the case.

Being informed, a team of Sujanagar police station conducted a raid in Satbaria union and arrested Mintu, along with the girl.

Later, Sujanagar police handed over Mintu to Fatullah police.
