Dhaka: Vehicular movement from Science Laboratory to Kalabagan on Mirpur Road was disrupted as the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinees of Dhaka City College blocked the street in front of their campus demanding a change in their examination venue.

Police said up to 400 students poured onto the street from their campus at about 1:00pm and blocked the street, disrupting the transport movement in the area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Dhanmondi zone assistant commissioner Ruhul Amin Sagar told United News of Bangladesh that because of the disruptions people, especially patients in many hospitals in the area, were suffering.  

Police were trying to ease the sufferings by diverting vehicles but cars and buses got stuck because of huge traffic flow.  

The official said HSC examinees were agitating demanding a change to their designated examination venue Residential Model School and College in Mohammadpur for what they said it is far from their campus.
