Dhaka: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Sunday between Dhaka University (DU) and WaterAid at the Vice Chancellor's office.

Treasurer of DU Professor Md. Kamal Uddin and Country Representative of WaterAid, Bangladesh Dr. Md. Khairul Islam signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution, a DU press release said on Sunday.   

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Arefin Siddique, Chief Executive of WaterAid, UK, Dr. Barbara Frost, Chairperson Tim Clark and Trustee Anna Segoll were present, among others, on the occasion.

According to the MoU, a modern public toilet will be constructed on the TSC premises of Dhaka University with the financial assistance and technical support from WaterAid.
