Bangladesh, India to celebrate Int’l Mother Language Day jointly

Benapole: With a view to making the tie stronger between two South Asian neighbouring countries, people of Bangladesh and India will jointly celebrate the International Mother Language Day on Sunday on Bangladesh-India no man's land at Benapole check post.
Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, member of AL central committee SM Kamal Hossain, State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadeq and other ruling party leaders will represent Bangladesh while Jyotipriya Mallick, minister for food and supplies in the government of Paschim Banga, Minister for Backward Class Welfare in the Government of Paschim Banga Upendranath Biswas and other local leaders will take part in the programme on behalf of India, reports UNB.
Organisers of the programme have already started distributing invitation letters.
Benapole municipality mayor Ashraful Alam will preside over the programme.
