Natore: A policeman and some workers of Pran Agro Ltd were injured in a clash between the two groups at Ekdala in Natore town on Thursday morning.
Police and factory officials said workers of Pran Agro Ltd launched a movement on the factory premises on Wednesday evening demanding an increase in their wages, reports UNB.
The agitating workers also carried out vandalism in the factory.
Later, the factory authorities quelled the workers by assuring them of meeting their demand.
However on Thursday morning, workers of the morning shift started the movement afresh with the same demand.
Following this, the factory authorities informed police.
When police went to the spot, the demonstrating workers pelted brick chips towards the law enforcers, leaving a policeman injured.
Several workers also received injuries as police charged baton on them.
