Chapainawabganj: A woman and her five-year old daughter were found dead at Choudala under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj on Saturday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased are Ayesha, 25, wife of Apple Mahmud, and their daughter Rayesha, 5.

Gomostapur police officer-in-charge Golam Martuza said Apple Mahmud, an employee of an NGO, returned home from his workplace at about 1:00pm and called his wife to open the door.

As he didn’t get any response from inside, Apple peeped through the window and found his wife hanging from the ceiling fan and daughter Rayesha lying on floor.

On information, police recovered the bodies.

Meanwhile, police detained Apple for interrogation.
