Comilla: Two children drowned in the River Gomti at Jafarganj in Debidwar on Sunday.

The victims were as Dalim, 6, son of M Selim, and Jonaki, 5, daughter of Faruqe of the same village.

Locals said Dalim and Jonaki were drowned as they slipped into the river while taking bath around noon.

Locals recovered the bodies from the river at about 5:30pm after a long search.
