Chapainawabganj: Two bikers were killed in two separate accidents in Shibganj of the district on Friday.

The deceased were Ahad Ali, son of Ludu Biswas of Harinagar village, and Rezaul Karim, son of Hashem Mondol of Sahratola village of the same upazila.

Shibganj police officer-in-charge MM Moinul Islam said Rezaul Karim was hit by a truck on Chapainawabganj-Sonamosjid road in Jalchhamari area while riding a motorcycle at about 1:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Earlier, at about 9:00am, another motorcyclist Ahad Ali was run over by a truck coming from opposite direction in Piling Mor area, leaving him critically injured.

Ahad Ali was rushed to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries a while later.
