Dinajpur: Two friends died after consuming contaminated liquor at Daudpur Bazar in Nababganj upazila on early Monday, reports UNB.

The deceased are Krishna Chandra Ray, 42, son of Amulyo Chandra Ray of Daudpur Bazar, and Abdul Baten, 46, son of Abul Kashem of Malpara village of the upazila.

Locals said the two friends fell sick after drinking the toxic liquor on Sunday night.

Later, Krishna died at about 12:15am while Baten at about 12:30am.

Nababganj police officer-in-charge Ismael Hosain said police visited the area on Monday morning.
