Dhaka: The main Eid-ul-Azha congregation will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in Dhaka at 8:00am. In case of inclement weather, the congregation will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:30am.

Mohammad Abdul Jalil, secretary of the ministry of religious affairs, chaired an inter-ministry meeting at his ministry on Wednesday afternoon, where he announced the schedule of Eid congregations.

Mayors of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporatino (DSCC), and senior officials of Public Works Department (PWD) were also present during the meeting.

The religion affairs secretary said Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of the Muslims, will be held on 12 or 13 September depending upon the position of Zilhaj moon.
