School students block Kakrail road protesting fellow’s murder
Dhaka: Students of Willes Little Flower School and College blocked Kakrail road on Monday morning protesting the killing of girl of class VIII of the school, halting vehicular movement on Malibagh, Santinagar, Bijoynagar and Nayapaltan road.
The protesting students took position on the road at about 11:00am and blocked the road in front of the school, said witnesses.
They chanted the slogan, ‘We want justice… we want trial of Risha’s killer.’
Following the road blockade, huge traffic congestion has been created in Malibagh, Santinagar and Kakrail area.
Suraya Akhter Risha, around 14 years old, daughter of Mohammad Ramzan Ali, a resident of Bangshal of old Dhaka and an eighth grader of Willes Little Flower School and College, was stabbed my miscreants in Kakrail area of Dhaka on 24 August.
She died of her wounds at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday morning.
