Man hurt in Chandpur blast dies at DMCH
Dhaka: A man, who sustained burn injuries in an oil tanker blast in Chandpur district town on Thursday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday morning.
DMCH police camp sub-inspector Bacchu Mia said Nur Mohammad Mamun, 40, who was admitted to the burn unit of the hospital with 90 percent burn injuries, succumbed to his injuries at about 11:00am.
Earlier on Thursday, a fire broke out at a dealer shop of Jamuna Oil Company as an oil tanker went off with a big bang while loading fuel at Bangabandhu Road in Chandpur district town , leaving 20 people, including eight with burns, injured.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital while six of those burnt were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their condition was found to be critical.
