Dhaka: Veteran leftist politician Comrade Ajay Ray passed away at his residence in Dhanmondi area of Dhaka on Monday morning. He was 88.

Roy had been suffering from old age complications and breathed his last in the morning, said a press release of United National Awami Party (UNAP).

His body will be kept at Central Shaheed Minar on Wednesday to enable citizens to pay their last tribute.
