Dhaka: A moderate earthquake jolted different parts of the country, including the capital, on Saturday.

Meteorological Office sources said the tremor measuring 5.6 on the Richter Scale was felt at 5:34:12pm.

The distance of the epicentre was 76 kilometres east-southeast of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, according to US Geological Survey.

However, there was no immediate report of any casualty.
