Rampal UNO dies of kidney complications

Khulna: Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Rampal upazila in Bagerhat Razib Kumar Roy on Tuesday passes away at Apollo Hospital in the capital due to kidney complications. He was 37.

He left behind his wife Anindita Roy, UNO of Fakirhat upazila in Bagerhat and two daughters.

Earlier, he admitted at Khulna Sheikh Abu Naser Hospital and later shifted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman Hospital (BSMMU) with kidney problem.

His body was flown at Khulna Circuit House helipad by a helicopter today noon where hundreds of people in all walks of life including Mizanur Rahman Mizan, MP, Khulna Zila Parisad chairman Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid, Khulna divisional commissioner Md. Abdus Samad and different government officials from Khulna and Bagerhat paid their floral wreaths on his coffin.

Different socio-cultural organizations and Khulna Press Club also paid tributes to Razib.

Later, the body has been taken to his village at Aditmari in Lalmonirhat district where he was cremated.

A well-behaved officer of Batch 27 in BCS cadre (Administration) Razib has won people's heart during his service tenure in Khulna and Bagerhat.
