Married Arafat Sunny two years back, says woman in case statement
Dhaha: The woman who filed a case against Bangladesh national team off-spinner Arafat Sunny said in the case statement that they were married two years ago.
According to the statement, the duo married on 4 December 2014.
The woman said she met Arafat about seven years back. In course of time, they came close to each other and fell in love, and got married on 4 December 2014. But, they kept it secret from their families.
The woman said, ‘After we got married, he (Arafat) told me many times that he will inform our guardians about our marriage and tell them to arrange a formal wedding reception. But, since few days back, he started falling back and paid no heed to the issue. He was killing time showing various excuses. As soon as my family demanded a formal reception, he sought separation from me.’
On 12 June 2016 at 1:35am, he registered a Facebook account on my name Nasrin Sultana using his personal mobile phone number. Then he posted images of our intimate moments on that fake Facebook account, and sent some of my single photographs to my Facebook Messenger. He started blackmailing and threatening me from then on. This is the reason I filed the case’, the statement continued.
